It must have been difficult for Saint Joseph to hear about Mary being pregnant. Probably tired, discouraged and perplexed, he drifts off to sleep one night. Yet the Angel Gabriel appears to him and tells him to take Mary as his wife and that she will be overshadowed by the Holy Spirit.
Whether in grace or no, whether asleep or awake, let us always be open to the grace of God working in our lives. And if He can work through the Angel Gabriel, surely he can work through Our Blessed Mother! And so like Saint Joseph, let us “take Mary into our homes” this Christmas, and may it be a time of grace.
The opening of our new location was quite a success, with roughly 300 people attending. The children performed their new dances (see dresses below), and were able to attend donors from through the Central Coast, as far away as Santa Ynez, California. The Knights of Columbus of Guadalupe were a HUGE asset, taking care of all our Santa Maria Style B-Que, along with clean-up, etc. I am also grateful to all the volunteers from our Zumba class, to the parents for their patience, Mariela Londono, and instructor Marivel Lozano. And may Our Blessed Mother shower many graces upon all our donors, local and far away, who have made this new performing arts center a reality!!!!
Welcome to our new website! Looking forward to regularly posting to this blog, keeping you updated as to where I will be celebrating mass on weekends, etc.
